Persons of faith have a powerful means of addressing the interconnected crises we are facing, viz. engaging the transcendental dimension of being. Can bridges be built between those who strive for climate justice by human means and those who long for justice with a transcendental longing? Can those who have fallen in love with this bruised world as a consequence of falling in love with its crucified Saviour learn from those who act for its benefit without engaging the transcendental point of view? Can those who practice political direct action benefit from the contemplative activity of those who practice quiet acts of loving kindness? We wish to weave a denser web of relationships and nurture hope.
