The emissions in the transport sector barely fell since 1990. As the transport sector accounts for roughly 16% of global emissions, this trend has a major influence on the climate crisis. The problems of the transport sector are particularly evident in urban areas - congested roads, bad air, little space, many traffic fatalities. We need better solutions! But who are the groups most affected by the climate crisis and nowadays systems of transportation? What are different mobility needs and how are they taken into account in transportation planning? How does urban mobility look like in a climate-just and equal society? And what do we need to make the necessary power shift that will enable much needed change in this sector?
