This workshop focuses on what has been the history of more than 500 years of oppression and exploitation developed due to the colonial capitalist system which still replicates today giving as a result what we call the “Climate Change”. Beginning with the slave trade into the present system of extractivism and looting, we revise how the history of colonialism has marked every single aspect of our life as modern subjects.<\/p>\n

This workshop also gives space to think and share together what are our daily practices of action against this panorama of death, as well as putting an eye on our privilege as activists living in Central Europe. We analyse the possibilities of developing a supportive activism that goes alone with the ones putting their bodies in the Rest of the world. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

First Day (<\/em><\/b><\/span><\/span>English, Deutsch)
\n<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/em>We see the historical process from pre-capitalist Europe to the beginning of the Colonial and Capitalist times. Conformation of the modern states and the classification of humanity by race, class and gender. European profit from the Slave Trade. Revolutionary projects of resistance: Haitian Revolution. Ex-colonies Independentist wars: the cases of Sudamerican, and West African countries.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Second Day (<\/em>English, Deutsch)
\n<\/em><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>We analyse the context post slavery of the N<\/span><\/span><\/span>eocolonialism with the reorganization of the land ownership and labour force The fracture of Nature vs. Human. New form of profit: land expropriation, mining, extensive agriculture, tourism, white NGO’s system in \u201ccooperation\u201d with the Global South. Systematic genocide of indigenous and black leaders.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Third Day (<\/em>English, Deutsch)
\n<\/em><\/b><\/span><\/span>Colective work on knowledge exchange and formation of a \u201cmap of destruction\u201d, with present production and circulation of food and services between the South and Europe. Indentification of Austrian industries and enterprises with colonial history. Categories of \u201crich\u201d and \u201cpoor\u201d, \u201cwell-being\u201d and Western ideas of a \u201cprogresive future\u201d. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Forth Day (En Espa\u00f1ol with English\/German Translation)

Este es un taller donde aprenderemos a c\u00f3mo realizar un altar para la madre tierra, agradeciendole todo lo que nos da y nos sigue dando, inclusive a pesar de c\u00f3mo la maltratamos. Armaremos juntes una ofrenda a la madre tierra, y le brindaremos alimento, canciones, oraciones, danza y m\u00fasica. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nLia<\/strong> is a Caribbean migrant, editor, and artist. Through all her work she emphasizes the importance of a political conscience against racism, colonialism, imperialism, and capitalism. As well as the necesity of a resistance by joy, earth, spirituality, and collective work.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Mariama<\/strong>. Migrantin, Aktivistin und Panafrikaniste. Sie wurde in Kamsar Guinea-Westafrika, in einem Land im Herzen Afrikas geboren. Sie geh\u00f6rt zur neuen Generation der Frauen, die sich mit der postkolonialen afrikanischen Geschichte von Unterdr\u00fcckung und Ausbeutung besch\u00e4ftige.
\n<\/span><\/span>Vivian Crespo Zurit<\/strong>a is a Cuban autodidactic multidisciplinary artist who has been living in Vienna since 2015. In 2018 she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, in the Contextual Painting Class. She mainly focuses her work on spiritual, anti-racist, anti-fascist, feminist, ecological and solidarity topics. She works with painting, performance, music, and spoken word. Her works have been exhibited in Planet 10, Rosa Lila Villa, VHS- Penzing, WUK-Frauenzentrum, Verein Bildender K\u00fcnstlerinnen \u00d6sterreich, Galerie am Park, among other galleries and spaces. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
