Wie Gentrifizierung &amp; Autoverkehr die Stadtentwicklung strukturieren  <br \/><br \/>In diesem Workshop wollen wir uns mit zwei ineinandergreifenden Ph\u00e4nomenen der kapitalistischen Stadtentwicklung besch\u00e4ftigen: Gentrifizierung und Autoverkehr. Beides steht im engen Zusammenhang und strukturiert die Stadt im Gro\u00dfen wie im Kleinen.   Der erste Teil des Workshops besch\u00e4ftigt sich mit Wohnpolitik im Allgemeinen Gentrifizierung im Besonderen: Welche \u00f6konomischen und politischen Ph\u00e4nomene stehen hinter der Gentrifizierung. Was k\u00f6nnte dagegen gemacht werden? Warum sind Vorschl\u00e4ge, wie etwa eine Mietpreisbremse keine gute Idee, sondern tendenziell kontraproduktiv?   Im zweiten Teil widmen wir uns dem Auto und seinem Einfluss auf Struktur und Entwicklung einer Stadt. Anhand von Beispielen der typischen \u201eeurop\u00e4ischen\u201c und \u201eamerikanischen\u201c Stadt werden wir den Einfluss des Autos auf \u00f6konomische Prozesse sowie auf Segregations- und Gentrifizierungstendenzen innerhalb von St\u00e4dten n\u00e4her betrachten. <br \/><br \/>\ud83c\udfaa City for All Camp <br \/>\ud83d\udccdThursday, 29.05 <br \/>\ud83d\udd5110AM <br \/>\ud83c\udfa4Tom<br \/><br \/>Capitalism finds the city. How gentrification &amp; car traffic structure urban development <br \/><br \/> In this workshop we want to look at two interlocking phenomena of capitalist urban development: Gentrification and car traffic. Both are closely related and structure the city on a large and small scale.   The first part of the workshop will deal with housing policy in general and gentrification in particular: What are the economic and political phenomena behind gentrification. What could be done about it? Why are proposals such as a rent freeze not a good idea, but rather tend to be counterproductive?   In the second part, we take a closer look at the car and its influence on the structure and development of a city.
